STRATEGIC PRIORITIZATION STUDY

When strategic priorities compete for the same resources, which ones deserve investment? The Strategic Prioritization Study examines relevant customer or market needs to help leadership decide what should advance, be reviewed or require further validation. Research methods and deliverables depend on the agreed scope.

In the Institute’s public study, 80.32% of the needs that reached the quantitative stage were not prioritized by even 30% of their respective respondent bases. The question is which needs deserve strategic treatment in your company.

Qualitative research, quantitative validation, ICAN and executive interpretation in a defined scope.

We help identify which needs deserve to become investment.

What it is

One study, one clear direction.

The Study examines needs linked to a defined business decision. Qualitative discovery identifies outcomes and context; quantitative research assesses need incidence and perceived fulfillment, as included in the scope. Executive interpretation connects the findings to strategic relevance and resource decisions.

"Not every identified need justifies investment. The analysis helps leadership examine which needs deserve strategic priority."

The Five Questions

The study answers, objectively.

Five decision questions, each answered with evidence from your own customer base.

What should we preserve?
Which needs sustain the Core and are already well served.
Where should we invest?
Which needs show the greatest Leverage potential, combining relevance with a Need Gap.
What should we educate or eliminate?
Which needs would require building demand, and which do not justify resources right now.
Who should we create for?
Which customer groups share similar priorities, forming Need-Based ICPs.
Where should we position?
Which needs are strong enough to support a relevant market position.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before you begin.

How long does the full Strategic Prioritization Study take?

From the initial conversation to the results presentation, the process takes three to six weeks, depending on scope, customer-base size, and survey response speed.

How many customer responses do I need for a reliable result?

We define the ideal sample with the company during the needs-mapping stage, considering the size of the customer base and representation by segment.

Does the study replace strategy consulting?

No. The study produces the evidence and priority order that come before the decision. Strategic advisory can be engaged separately when needed.

Is my customer data protected?

Yes. The survey is conducted with explicit consent from each respondent, and data is handled in aggregate in the reports delivered to leadership.

Does the study work in any industry?

The methodology has been applied in technology, professional services, industry, and other sectors. What changes is the set of needs investigated, not the prioritization process.
